On April 24, 2006 the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), with other state and local realtor associations in the region, sponsored its semi-annual regional workforce housing summit. The Regional Summit Series explored local solutions focusing on the diverse housing challenges facing Americans. We were joined by the current and former Secretary of U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Alphonso Jackson and Jack Kemp, President of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Thomas Donohue, NAR President Tom Stevens and a host of state and local leaders as we convened the region’s leadership to discuss solutions that maintain and promote the regions and nations economic competitiveness.
