RCE Fees

Application Fee
To begin the process, you must complete and submit an ADF along with a non-refundable $325 application fee. This fee covers both the ADF and the examination costs. A $150 certification fee will be due after you have successfully completed the examination.
 

 
 
Reapplication Fee
Applicants who do not attain the minimum number of points after completing the ADF have one year in which to resubmit another ADF at no cost. If they fail to submit another ADF within one year from the time they receive notification of their initial ADF results, they must reapply and submit a $125 fee to restart the process.
 
Candidates who do not take the examination within two years after receiving their ADF score must resubmit a new ADF, along with a $75 resubmission fee in order to take the examination.
 

 
 
Retake Fee
Candidates who do not receive the minimum required number of points after taking the examination have two years from the date their ADF was submitted to retake the module(s) they did not pass during the next time an examination is scheduled at an NAR meeting or is sponsored by a state or local association. Candidates must pay an additional $75 fee to retake theexamination. 


 
 
Recertification Fee
To retain the designation, RCEs must be recertified every four years. For all RCEs, the recertification date is the fourth January 1st following the certification date that appears on his or her certificate. Recertification requires an additional 75 points from 2 sections of the Recertification Form, along with a $100 recertification fee.
 

 
 
Annual Dues
Designees must pay an annual fee of $60, payable by January 31 of each year, to retain the designation.
