Coldwell Banker surveyed its practitioners to compile a list of the top cities for young retirees, ages 55 to 59. The cities were chosen based on recreational opportunities, weather, health resources, crime, and cost of living.

Here are the top five small cities they selected:
  1. Helena, Mont.
  2. Pensacola, Fla.
  3. Creve Coeur, Mo.
  4. Traverse City, Mich.
  5. Butte-Silver Bow, Mont.
