Daily Real Estate News  |  July 27, 2010  |   Take the Best Listing Photos
Here are some do's and don’ts that can help you avoid taking terrible real estate photos. Larry Lohrman, a retired real estate practitioner who operates the Web site PhotographyForRealEstate.net, offers the following advice:
  • Make sure every picture has a purpose and a consistent look and feel.
  • Put extra effort into making sure the primary exterior shot is a good one. It’s the equivalent of curb appeal.
  • Avoid taking photos when it is raining or the sun is extraordinarily bright. Unless you are selling a ski chalet, avoid shooting in the snow.
  • Unclutter rooms by getting rid of excess furniture.
  • Don’t include pets in the pictures.
