NAR REALTORS EXPO WILL FEATURE ERIC ESTRADA AND CURLY NEAL
CHICAGO (October 27, 2004) – The NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS has announced the appearance of celebrity guests Erik Estrada and “Curly” Neal at the 2004 REALTORS Conference & Expo in Orlando, November 5-8.
The talented actor Erik Estrada, widely known from the hit 1970’s series “CHiPs,” will make an appearance at NAR’s Here Comes the Sun Booth #1153, at the Orange County Convention Center, on Saturday, Nov. 6, 1-4pm. The magical dribbler and dazzling shooter Fred “Curly” Neal will make his special guest appearance at the NAR booth Sunday, Nov. 7, 1-4pm.
“We are honored and excited to host two celebrities that have made themselves inspirations to millions from so many distinct communities,” said Bob Goldberg, NAR senior vice president of marketing and business development and head of the REALTOR VIP alliance program.
Before becoming an international celebrity for his role as “Ponch,” the nickname for his character on “CHiPs,” Estrada starred in numerous other television series and movies. After presenting an award wining performance in “The Cross and the Switchblade,” Estrada quickly stepped into other important roles in such classic films as “Airport 75” and the dramatic television series “Baretta.” Estrada’s Hollywood success, from the pursuit of his love of acting, has been an inspiration for the Latin community. His role in “CHiPs” lead to breakdowns in Latino stereo-typing and more opportunities within the community. Estrada has always been devoted to being a role model for children and also speaks out for the ‘Heart Association’ and ‘The United Way.’
“Curly” Neal, former basketball wizard of the Harlem Globetrotters, has amazed millions of fans around the world in his 22 years with the team. Neal has performed in 97 countries and completed more than 6,000 basketball games. He is hailed as being one of the purest shooters ever to play basketball, and has a knack for hitting shots from beyond mid-court. Since his retirement, Neal has made guest appearances on more than two dozen television shows, plus several talk shows, and has made numerous television commercials.
The REALTORS Conference & Expo will run Nov. 5-8. More than 23,000 REALTORS, guests and exhibitors are expected to attend.
The NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS, “The Voice for Real Estate,” is America’s largest trade association, representing more than 1,000,000 members involved in all aspects of the residential and commercial real estate industries.
