WEST COAST MLS OFFICES CHOOSE SENTRILOCK REALTOR(TM)LOCKBOXES FOR SECURITY, FLEXIBILITY

CHICAGO (September 14, 2004) – “It was an issue of safety,” said Bob Musacchio, Association Executive, Yosemite Gateway Association of REALTORS(R). “We refused to put our Members at risk or have the properties they represent unsecured.” But that’s what the Association was facing, due to an odd circumstance surrounding the mechanical lockboxes Members used. The patent on the lockbox keys had expired, making reproduction of the keys legal -- and tempting -- to a home invader. While no foul play was reported, the Yosemite Gateway Association didn’t take any chances and purchased and installed electronic SentriLock REALTOR(TM) Lockboxes in July.

“The issue of member safety drives a good deal of interest in the REALTOR(TM) Lockbox,” said Scott Fisher, president of SentriLock, LLC. “From small considerations like the illuminated keypad and placing the key compartment on the front of the lockbox, to incorporating the kind of smart card technology in use in commercial and military security applications, SentriLock is demonstrating it understands the needs of REALTORS(R).”

“On top of everything else, the SentriLock team offered an ownership option, as opposed to leasing the REALTOR(TM) Lockbox equipment,” said Musacchio. “Their desire to really work with the Association leadership in addressing all our issues was just terrific.”

Crossover Membership Advantages
The Yosemite Gateway Association, located near the south entrance of California’s Yosemite National Park, communicated its selection of SentriLock REALTOR(TM) Lockboxes to its neighbors, the Mariposa County Board of REALTORS(R). Due to their geographic proximity, the two associations shared a crossover membership with their previous lockboxes. The Mariposa Board followed Yosemite Gateway’s lead in installing SentriLock REALTOR(TM) Lockboxes, and SentriLock worked with both Associations to put a similar agreement in place.

“We are really pleased with SentriLock; the product and the people behind it,” said Musacchio. “The conversion went smoothly and the technical support staff is excellent. We’ve more than accomplished everything we wanted.”
