Dick also thanks all REALTORS® who advocated for the new law, which will provide a much-needed boost to housing markets across the country by raising the loan limits in key areas.
Our success on this issue proves what we can do when members work "All Together" toward a common goal. Now, let' keep the ball rolling! The loan limit increases in the stimulus package expire on December 31st. We must convince Congress to pass FHA Reform and GSE Reform this year.

February 5, 2008: Raising Loan Limits Helps ALL Homeowners
In his latest podcast, 2008 NAR President Dick Gaylord explains why all REALTORS®, homeowners and potential homebuyers should urge Congress to pass the economic stimulus package with increases in both the FHA and GSE loan limits.
Increasing the loan limits would help stem the tide of foreclosure, by providing lower-cost refinance options to consumers with subprime or jumbo loans. It also could generate 300,000 additional home sales and help raise the median home price, according to NAR’s research. These are real results that would strengthen the housing market and our local and national economies. Dick asks all REALTORS® for Action. Just visit the REALTOR® Action Center to send a letter to your Senator, urging Congress to pass the economic stimulus package and increase the loan limits, when the bill comes to a vote next week.
