CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS

SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCE!
The NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORSŪ, The Voice for Real Estate, is the nation's largest trade and professional organization. You are invited to share your expertise and experience with REALTORŪ association leaders by submitting your programming ideas for the 2010 Association Executives Institute. This is a joint Institute with Canada and the programming needs to appeal to both U.S. and Canadian association executives. The AE Institute will be held April 16 - 20, 2010, at the Hilton Quebec in Quebec City, Canada.
WHO ATTENDS:

950+ REALTORŪ association executives from the U.S. and Canada will gather at the AE Institute to attend the education programs and networking opportunities.

Approximately 40 education sessions and networking opportunities occur over a four-day period.
HOW ARE SPEAKERS CHOSEN?
Proposals are reviewed by the appropriate AE Institute Advisory Board members and AE and Leadership Development staff. Reviewers evaluate proposals based on six criteria:

Relevance to association management
-
Well-defined topic focus
-
Practical application of material
-
Relevance to current needs of REALTORŪ association executives
-
Overall program quality based on outline, goals, and learning objectives
-
Speaker credentials and referrals from association executives
BENEFITS OF SPEAKING:
Promotion of programs and speakers, selected to be part of the AE Institute, increases visibility within the REALTORŪ association and real estate industry through:

Pre-meeting electronic and print promotions, e.g. Realtor.org, AE Institute web page, and other advance publicity

Speaker Directory Listing - electronic
-
Opportunity to promote additional resources on a flash drive given to all attendees that contains speaker handouts
-
Distribution of approved personal promotional material at your program
-
Follow-up with program attendees who provide a business card
-
An audio recording of your session(s) so that the information can be made available to those who could not attend your session
-
Receiving complimentary audio recording of your session
REALTORŪ ASSOCIATION EXECUTIVES AND ASSOCIATION STAFF SPEAKERS

REALTORŪ association family speakers who are selected to make presentations are not compensated by NAR
-
REALTORŪ association executive speakers and association staff speakers are responsible for covering their travel, hotel and tuition costs.
IMPORTANT - FOR ALL SPEAKERS!

If your topic presentation is selected, you will be required to comply with ALL outline/handout/audio-visual deadlines. The AE Institute is paperless, and all speaker handouts are distributed via a flash drive.

They must agree to provide educational content only AND abide by NAR's personal, product, services promotion specifications before, during, and at the end of the session

You will be notified in August 2009 if your program is selected.
STEPS TO FOLLOW:

Include a one-page session outline and a five sentence speaker introduction as attachments with the submission form.

Use a separate form to submit additional proposal. (limit of two proposals per speaker)

Complete the form in its entirety online on or before May 29, 2009.
