OFFICIAL MAGAZINE OF THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®

POINT OF VIEW: Editor’s Note

Tell us about you

Within the scope of our mission—to be “the business tool for real estate professionals”REALTOR® Magazine covers a wide and growing array of topics, from laws and regulations affecting your business to selling and management how-tos to architectural and design trends. Everyday, we get calls from readers asking, “How can I be a part of your editorial coverage?”

There are many ways. From the “Letters” column below to full-length features, we strive to make our coverage more of a conversation with—and between—our readers than a one-way address from us to you.

Our 2005 editorial calendar describes some of the articles we have planned in the coming months. If you believe you’d be a good source for any of those articles, contact us.

But also consider some of the regular columns and departments that aren’t listed in the calendar. We look for great sales tips from readers for our “Sales Shorts” column. We answer reader questions in our “Ethics” column. (Send questions to ethics@realtors.org.) We profile real estate companies worth a look-see in “Companies to Watch,” part of a section that goes only to the company owners and managers who are identified as the Designated REALTOR® in each office.

We’ve recently begun collecting applications for next year’s “30 under 30” feature . That feature regularly draws comments from the over-30 crowd (of which I’m a proud member) saying, “What about us?”

Well, here’s your chance. There are dozens of stories apart from “30 under 30” for which we need experienced practitioners as sources. Take a few minutes to let us know about you via narpubs@realtors.org. Your e-mail will be reviewed within 48 hours and will be forwarded to the appropriate editor. I can’t guarantee your story will be picked up. But I can guarantee this: If you don’t write to us, you’ll never know.
