Counselors of Real Estate: A Prestigious International Network

For international real estate professionals, working with trustworthy and respected specialists is of the utmost importance – especially when it comes to purchasing in another country. The Counselors of Real Estate®, an affiliate of the National Association of REALTORS®, provides an additional international network of such individuals.

A Counselor of Real estate provides intelligent, unbiased real estate advice for a client or employer, and trust is always implicit in a relationship with a counselor. Membership is extended by invitation, making this an exclusive and elite group of people who have been recognized by their peers, employers, and clients for their commitment, knowledge, experience, wisdom, and integrity in the real estate marketplace. Members include principals of prominent real estate, financial, legal and accounting firms as well as leaders of government and academia. A stringent process of selection ensures that individuals awarded the “CRE” (Counselor of Real Estate) credential have attained the highest levels of expertise and achievement in their specialty, particularly in the provision of sophisticated advice and high level problem solving in all matters relating to real property.

In addition to a strong American base, The Counselors has expanded its global reach, with a vibrant, international presence reflecting 25 countries. Recent conferences have been held in New York, San Francisco, London, and Vienna with an Istanbul Conference planned for September 2014. The organization’s Chairman, Dr. Hugh Kelly, and its President, Mary Walker Fleischmann, were featured speakers at the 25th MIPIM Conference held in Cannes, France in March of this year and CRE, Robert White, Founder and President of the New York based Real Capital Analytics, presents the keynote address at the Real Estate Global Summit of the Chinese Association of Real Estate Brokers in Taiwan later this spring.
