Portland Debuts New Sustainability Resource Web Site

Portland, Ore., ranks among the country’s most sustainable cities because its inhabitants take green living seriously. From urban gardening spaces to recycling programs to energy-efficient homes, environmental consciousness ranks high among home buyers, too.

That’s why the Portland Metropolitan Association of REALTORS® launched a new section of its Web site devoted to information on sustainable home improvement projects, sustainable preservation, federal and state tax credits for green projects, and Sustainability 101 primer, including a glossary of terms.

The association recently undertook an audit of its own business practices and made changes, which earned it the City of Portland Silver Sustainability at Work certification. For more, visit www.pmar.org/green.
