REALTOR® University Launches Masters Program

After receiving its degree-granting authority in February from the Illinois Board of Higher Education, REALTOR® University, the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®’ online education resource, began classes in its new masters degree program. RU is projecting 270 course takers in 2012.

This 36-credit-hour, 12-course master’s program will provide deep insight into the complex and constantly evolving real estate marketplace, blending theory with practice to produce the next generation of industry leaders, according to RU. Setting itself apart from other master’s programs, RU is entirely online, costs significantly less, and is focused more on what REALTORS® do everyday, says Jonathan Salk, the university’s dean of student services. “Plus, courses offered when members said they wanted them.”

RU also includes the School of Professional Development and Continuing Education, with more than 400 hours of online education leading to several designations and certifications, including continuing education credit-approved courses available in most states.
