Listen and participate while the appointed committee members discuss issues, concerns, and recommend policy for this real estate niche. 2014 Resort and Second-Home Real Estate Committee Chair Matey H. Veissi and Vice-Chair Andy Meyers will lead the meeting.

Lifestyle Real Estate Properties

Friday, Nov. 7, 2014, 1:30 – 3:00 p.m.

A panel of colleagues will discuss what they consider lifestyle properties and how they succeed in these market segments. Attendees whose specialties include resorts of all types, waterfront properties, small vineyards, and other properties that might be categorized as lifestyle-focused will want to attend our first ever lifestyle property session, where you can share ideas and make connections. This session was developed by members of the Resort and Second Home Real Estate Committee.

Follow the Money: The Next Wave of Luxury & Resort Buyers

Friday, Nov. 7, 2014, 2:00 – 3:00 p.m.

Amy Chorew and Robyn L. Erlenbush will give a fast-paced look at what the new generation of luxury and resort buyers demand from their agents, how they choose their perfect home, and the latest trends and designs that influence their buying decisions. They’ll also identify what buyers value most in a luxury/resort buyer’s agent.

Friday, Nov. 7, 2014, 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.

Join fellow resort and second-home real estate professionals for an evening of appetizers, drinks, and great networking. Tickets must be purchased prior to the event; there will be no tickets sold at the door.

Find out how they use them to create emotional rapport with sellers and potential buyers, and learn the practical details of hiring professionals to create property-specific mini-movies, how to structure payment for this marketing approach, and more.

Sink or Swim in the Flood Plain

Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014, 1:30 – 3:00 p.m.


Come to this session and learn to maximize value for buyers and sellers of residential or commercial properties in the flood plain using tips from your colleagues. You'll also hear an update on critical changes to the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). Session speakers will be Ronald Phipps, Gregory Phipps, Donna Smith, and Russell Riggs.
