Risk Management Forum: Is your Website ADA Compliant?

Demand letters threatening litigation have been sent to real estate professionals across the country. These letters allege that real estate business websites are not compliant with the Americans With Disabilities Act. Is your website compliant? What does ADA website compliance mean? What resources are available to real estate practitioners to help ensure ADA compliance? These questions and more will be answered at this spring’s Risk Management Forum.

NAR is urging the Department of Justice to issue clear guidance as to what ADA website compliance means. In the meantime, it is essential that you learn what steps you can take to avoid a lawsuit, and to make your business website accessible.

The Risk Management Forum at the 2016 REALTORS® Legislative Meetings & Trade Expo in Washington, D.C. will provide attendees with answers and essential information on these topics, presented by two key industry experts, prominent ADA attorney Alisa Carr and technical website accessibility expert Mary Brougher.

The Risk Management Forum takes place on Wednesday, May 11 from 12:15 p.m. – 1:45 p.m. at the Omni Shoreham, Empire Room, Lower Level.
