NAR Leadership Academy: 2008 Class

Twenty-six REALTORS® from around the country graduated from the Leadership Academy at the 2008 NAR Midyear Meetings. The 2008 Academy class held its first meeting during the 2007 NAR Leadership Summit.

Group Projects
2008 NAR Leadership Academy Class Projects
The 2008 Academy had a class project that was about the work of leadership through an informal, think-tank style setting. The class formed teams and were given one of NAR's 2008 strategic objectives to focus on and deliver a solution. They were charged with looking at ways for NAR to strengthen the relationship between REALTORS® and consumers.
Members of the Academy were asked to brainstorm, share ideas, and make suggestions. They presented during the final graduation session to a group that included members of the Strategic Planning Committee, NAR Public Affairs, the Academy Advisory Group, and NAR Past Presidents. The project gave them the opportunity to focus on a big picture challenge at the national level. The variety of solutions created by the teams is testament to their creativity and resourcefulness.
