Call for 2007 AEC Work Group Members

 
Please complete this form if you are interested in serving on a 2007 AEC work group. AEC leadership has identified some key initiatives that the committee will focus on in the coming year and is forming work groups to address these initiatives. The work groups and corresponding objectives are listed below.
 
To be considered for a 2007 appointment, please complete and return this form to Debra Jordan (djordan@realtors.org or fax 312/670-1586) by January 12, AND enter your personal expertise information in the Expertise Profile Database (EPD). The EPD is at REALTOR.org, at the NAR Governance section. AEC leadership will use the EPD to identify AEs who have the expertise to serve on these groups. In addition, the NAR president uses the EPD to make other REALTOR work group appointments not on this list.

AE Competencies Work Group
Objective: To review and update, as necessary, the AE Competencies and Body of Knowledge in which an AE should be proficient to successfully serve the evolving REALTOR association. (Meetings at AEI, Midyear, and Annual)
 
Association Mediation Work Group
Objective: To review and modify the aspirational Standards of Conduct and the Unacceptable Business Practices (UBPs) for REALTOR® associations; and to establish new procedures for submitting to mediation and to identify consequences for failure to participate in NAR's mandatory "Mediation Procedures to Resolve Alleged Violations of the Unacceptable Business Practices," as well as consequences for violating the UBPs. (Two day meeting in April in Chicago – NAR to cover travel expenses.)
 
Leadership Programming Work Group
Objective: To identify content for a balanced mix of program offerings for volunteer and staff leadership teams to be scheduled at the Midyear Leadership Express program, the August Volunteer Leadership Training Program (VLTP), the November Entrepreneurial Excellence Series, and the Leading Edge in Association Management program. (Meetings at Midyear and Annual)
 
NRDS Policies Work Group
Objective: To review, clarify, and consider revisions to existing NRDS policy and enforcement issues. (Meetings at Midyear and Annual)
 
Profile Survey Work Group
Objective:  To review and update the State and Local Profile Survey questionnaire, so that it can be disseminated every two years, as scheduled; to review the survey summary reports and evaluate the output for other uses. (Meetings at Midyear and Annual)
 
Volunteer Leadership Self-Study Work Group
Objective: To continue development of a self-study course that provides volunteer REALTOR association leaders with an overview of REALTOR association management policies and programs to enhance their leadership skills and abilities in preparation for their leadership term. (Meetings at AEI, Midyear, and Annual)
