AE Institute Apparel Day
AE Institute Apparel Day is Monday, March 23. Show your AE Institute spirit by ordering a commemorative golf sweater. This lightweight, V-neck pullover sweater is embroidered with the AE Institute logo on the left chest. Sweater purchases benefit the AE Professional Development Fund, which supports programming for all association executives. (Price: $40 if preordered; on-site price is $45 plus shipping.)
Going Green @ AEI
In an effort to be more green and reduce paper waste, there will be no paper handouts at the 2009 AE Institute education sessions. Tune in to Realtor.org the first week in March for downloads of all session handouts. At that time you can plan your curriculum and decide which classes are right for you. Change your mind on site? No worries. The AEI Cyber Station will allow you to print any last-minute handouts you may have neglected to print before you arrive in Colorado Springs. A flash drive incuding speaker handouts and additional resources will be given to all attendees onsite. You will also have the ability to load your own documents onto the 1Gig flash drive.
Here are some things The Broadmoor is doing to help the environment:
• Reduction of our electrical consumption by over 5,300,000 kWh annually
• Reduction of demand by 1,139 kW
• Pollution reduction of: Carbon Dioxide (in Tons) = 6,430.6, Sulfur Dioxide (in Kg) = 53,588 and Nitrogen Oxide (in Kg) = 21,435
• 9,646 Barrels of crude oil and 2,519 tons of coal that will not be burned by electric power plants
• Equivalent to eliminating the pollution from 750 cars per year or planting 1,554 trees per year
