Global Real Estate: Local Markets
Brett’s real estate career spans 29 years in the Naples, Florida area. As a practicing Realtor and Instructor, Brett is well known for his can-do attitude and his genuine passion for making light bulbs go off in his students’ heads. As he always says, “What the agents don’t know can really hurt them and their brokers’ bottom line”. This is especially true in the global real estate market.
Brett’s enthusiasm for Professional Development started early in his career and has stayed with him since. He walks the walk and talks the talk. He has logged many volunteer hours at the Naples Area Board of Realtors®, Florida Realtors®, and The NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®. His most recent accomplishment – a proud graduate of the NAR Leadership Academy in 2012 and Past Chair of the NAR State and Local Leadership Forum on Global Business as well as the NAR Resort and Second Home Committee.
Brett has taught the NAR Resort and Second Home Markets Course, CIPS Global Programs for Associations Course (how to start a global council at the local/state associations) as well as CIPS Local Markets. He has media and spokesperson training, and has been interviewed many times by TV and Radio for his insight into the real estate market and trends.
Brett currently is the Director of Sales for Fiddler’s Creek Realty, Inc., and uses his knowledge that he learned in the CIPS courses to help close sales in his resort community. Says Brown, “Getting my CIPS Designation was one of the smartest things I have done! There is so much international investment in all fifty states that everyone should take the time to increase their professionalism and knowledge in the global arena. After all, what you don’t know can hurt you and your unsuspecting client in the end.”
