Dale A. Stinton is the CEO of the National Association of REALTORS®, America's largest trade association, representing more than 1 million members involved in all aspects of the residential and commercial real estate industries.
A 33-year veteran of NAR, Stinton took over the reins November 1, 2005. He served as acting CEO and executive vice president in 1996 and became CFO/CIO in 1998.
Stinton was awarded Stephan Swanepoel’s 2009 Trendsetter of the Year, Inman’s 2010 Innovator of the Year and was included in CEO Update’s inaugural list of top association CEOs.
In October 2010, Stinton was featured as one of SmartMoney magazine’s “Power 30: The World’s Most Influential Players” in the real estate industry. In 2011, 2012 and 2013 he was recognized by Inman News as one of the 100 Most Influential Real Estate Leaders. Also in 2012, Stinton was honored by the American Business Awards as CEO of the Year in the real estate category. Most recently, Swanepoel’s 2014 Trends Report ranked Stinton as the seventh most influential player in the real estate space.
Stinton currently serves as chairman of the board of the REALTORS® Property Resource (RPR), president of Second Century Ventures (SCV), the venture capital arm of the National Association of REALTORS®, and president of REALTOR® University. Stinton is a board member of the fast growing start-up e-signature company, Docusign, which is currently one of 15 investments in SCV’s portfolio. He is also a board member of the Center for Specialized REALTOR® Education (CSRE), REALTORS® Information Network (RIN), and REALTOR® Canada, Inc.
