The CIPS Awards Ceremony took place at International Night Out on Saturday, November 14 at the Peabody Orlando Hotel. The following awards were presented at the Gala Event by 2009 IOC Chair Barbara Schmerzler, CIPS and 2009 IOC Vice-chair Madeline Veissi, CIPS.

Over 114 new CIPS Designees were pinned, in San Diego on November 14. The group included members from Austria, Bahamas, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Costa Rica, Korea, Mexico, Virgin Island, and many US states. View a complete list of the 2009 Designees>>.

Memorandum of Understanding was signed with the Chinese Association of Real Estate Brokers (Taiwan) in San Diego.

International Real Estate for Local Markets, the CIPS prerequisite course, was offered at the conference on November 11-12 to excellent reviews.

The International Forum was a lively session entitled "How Global Economy Affects Your Local Market." View Presentation.

Europe and International Real Estate & Asia/Pacific and International Real Estate, two of the five required courses needed to earn the CIPS designation, was offered at the Midyear Meetings on May 11 & 12 with excellent reviews.

60 new CIPS designees were approved during the Midyear Meeting. New designees were recognized at the CIPS Breakfast.

Visits to the Embassies of Austria, Denmark, Korea and Turkey were made by a small group of NAR International leaders and volunteers as part of a program for CIPS Network members to promote their services. View Summaries from the 2009 Embassy Visits>>

The International Forum was a lively session entitled "Selling a Second Home to U.S. and Foreign Buyers." The program was jointly presented with the Resort and Second Home Real Estate Forum.View Presentation.
