CIPS Directory Listings
All CIPS Network members receive a listing in both the printed directory as well as the online, searchable directory. Designees are provided space for a photo and 150 word biography. To update your listing, e-mail changes to NAR International. Designee photos and biographies should be sent in an electronic format. The online directory is updated weekly. CIPS Network members may advertise in the print directory, printed and mailed each spring to all Network members, foreign real estate organizations, U.S. and foreign chambers of commerce, global real estate meeting attendees and more. Learn more about advertising opportunities for members and non-members.

POSTCARDS & BROCHURE

See the imprinting file for more directions.

AD SLICKS

Each of the 8 different camera-ready ad slick art files has a customizable area. Like the postcards, you can add a name, contact info and even photo to personalize.

See the imprinting file for more directions.

FILE APPLICATION:

All the files on this disc are Adobe Portable Document Format (pdf) files. This universally accepted file format allows you to open and view the art files on your own computer using the free Adobe Acrobat Reader. In order to open and print pdf files from your own computer you will need the Adobe Acrobat Reader application on your system.

If you do not have this application, you can download a free Reader from:

http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/

This is a free software download that lets you view and print Adobe Portable Document Format (pdf) files on a variety of hardware and operating system platforms.

NOTE: In order to customize the postcards and ads yourself, you will need the full version of the Adobe Acrobat application. The full version allows you to add content to pdf files. This is not a free download. You can find more information on the product and costs at:

http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/

PRINTING AND CUSTOMIZING POSTCARDS & ADS USING AN OUTSIDE PRINTING SERVICE:

As stated earlier, pdf's are a universally accepted file format. In almost all cases, any print or copy shop will have the ability to open and customize the pdf art files included on this CD-ROM. Sometimes postcard printers/vendors have special deals. Take some time to do an online search for postcard printers that can offer you discounts. If you're more comfortable working with someone in person, find a print or copy shop in your area.

When working with outside printing services, you will need to deliver the pdf art files to your shop of choice, either via email or on a CD-ROM. You will also need to deliver your personalization information along with the art files. You can handwrite your personalization information but be sure to write legibly to not confuse the vendor inputting the information for you. Better yet, give the vendor a word file of your personalization information. OR If you are sending art files via email, just type the personalization information into the body of the email. There's less room for mistakes when a vendor can cut and paste information directly from a word file or an email.

If you're ordering an imprint of your photo on a postcard or ad, be sure to give the shop a digital photo file with your personalization information and art files.

PLACING AN AD IN A LOCAL PUBLICATION

If you're placing an ad in a local publication, you can deliver the selected ad file(s), along with your personalization info (same as above), directly to the publication. Like a print or copy shop, publications have in-house services that are able to open and customize pdf files and prepare those files to be placed in their publication. Don't worry if the publication has specific dimensions for their ads, they will be able to adjust the art file you give them to fit the ad space.

When considering where to place your ads, keep in mind publications such as club and community newsletters. Though their circulation may be smaller, the audiences are focused and, if you belong to a club, members may already know you, increasing the effect of your efforts. Newsletters such as these may be more cost-effective alternatives than general circulation publications, too. Also consider coordinating your ad placements with your postcard mailing so that the message of each one is reinforced by the other.
