Contributing Associations

Central Florida Commercial Association of REALTORS®

The Association has an annual awards program titled “The Hallmark Awards” and the awards are based on sales volume and nominations. The Commercial Realtor of the Year is nominated by the membership or the committee if no nominations are submitted. It is usually someone who is well known or very involved in the association. A nomination form is emailed out to the membership, the form is attached as Appendix A.

Greater Tampa Association of REALTORS® Inc.

The Association evaluates each nominee by requesting a list and definition of their nominee’s contributions to the local, state, and national associations, as well as their community at large. Each nominee must also provide a list of qualifications, credentials and designations that qualify the applicant for the award. The association uses the nomination in Appendix B.

Northeast Atlanta Metro Association of REALTORS®

The Association request nominees to complete a formal application process which includes six specific criteria which are detailed in the application instructions including a request for a head shot for each nominee. The judging criteria are broken down into for categories: Manager Spirit; Civic Activity; Business Accomplishments and Board Activity. A selection committee reviews the nominations forms and conducts interviews. The association uses the nomination form in Appendix C.

Indiana Commercial Board of REALTORS®

Greater Louisville Association of REALTORS®

The Association honors a Commercial REALTOR® of the Year in three categories: Industrial, Office and Retail. Each award has the following criteria: Up to five finalists in a category are selected based on the total amount of square feet leased and sold for the previous calendar year. The deal data must have been entered into the KCREA comparables database (completed transactions only). The nominating committee will verify each completed transaction and select a winner based on Total Square Footage for the designated time period as well as member professionalism and commercial real estate–community involvement. There is no formal nomination form.

Commercial Association of REALTORS® New Mexico

The Association has an in-depth list of published guidelines to govern the nomination and election process, these guidelines are attached in Appendix E. Each nominee is expected to be a current member of their association and must provide examples of their achievements in the following categories; furthering the association’s goals and objectives; furthering the well-being of the commercial real estate industry; demonstrated; ethics and professionalism in business and personal endeavors; how the nominee has established a reputation or personal achievement in commercial real estate and charitable or civic affairs in which the nominee has participated. The nomination form is also included in appendix E.

New York State Association of REALTORS®

The Association puts out a call for nominations requesting a nomination letter. They use the following point system to make their selections. 1. NYSCAR Association activity; committee work, special assignments, seminar activities, educational work and offices held–valued at 45%. 2. State Association activity; offices held, committee work, attendance and participation at conventions, directors meetings, education work, etc.–valued at 25%. 3. National Association of REALTORS® activity; national offices, committee work, membership and work in institutes, attendance at national conventions, etc.–valued at 10%. 4. Civic activity; local , state and national levels, participation in civic and service clubs, charitable activities, political activities, etc.–valued at 10 %. 5. Business accomplishments; recognized good business conduct and adherence to REALTOR® Code of Ethics, service to clients, imaginative and creative advertising, imaginative and creative real estate solutions, rehabilitation programs, land utilization, etc. –valued at 10%. The nomination form is also included in appendix F.

Winston Salem Regional Association of REALTORS®

The Association awards a current or past member of the RCA Division of the Winston Salem Regional Association of REALTORS®, who has made outstanding contributions to the Division and the field of commercial real estate. The contributions of the nominee to his or her community and church may also be considered in the selection of the recipient. The nomination form used is in appendix G.

Charleston Trident Association of REALTORS®

The Association requests nominations through an electronic nomination form posted on their official website. It requests a narrative of the individuals contributions and recognitions within the association, industry and the community. The Commercial Investment Division Board of Directors meets to review the nominations and select the winner. The nomination form used is in appendix H.

Memphis Area Association of REALTORS®

The Association has a program titled “Pinnacle Achievement Awards” which include Broker of the Year as well as Hall of Fame and Community Impact. The Pinnacle Awards Achievement Awards are special Pinnacle Awards that recognize a level of achievement and contribution to the Memphis commercial real estate community that is not solely based on production. The Achievement Awards recognize production as a significant part of an individual’s contribution, but also takes into account the recipient’s local real estate community related service, as well as service to the well-being of the overall Memphis Community. The Broker of the Year is given annually to a commercial real estate broker to honor a successful Memphis real estate career, as highlighted by achievements in the previous year. The recipient must have made well-known contributions to the industry during his or her career, as highlighted by accomplishments in the previous year through real estate production in the form of development, transactions (sales or leases) or management and must have been actively involved n the real estate community and the greater Memphis community through out his or her career. The recipient must hold membership in the Association. The Selection Committee for Broker of the Year, and Hall of Fame Award shall consist of past Brokers of the Year and Hall of Fame recipients, as well as the Association’s Commercial Council President, Past President, President–Elect and the current year’s Pinnacle Awards Chairman. The Selection Committee’s recommendations are subject to final approval by the Association’s Commercial Council Board of Directors. There is no formal nomination form

Vermont Commercial Investment Board of REALTORS®

The Association annually awards a REALTOR® of the Year. The nominees must complete a form providing a narrative of examples in each of the four equally weighted criteria headings. 1. REALTOR® Spirit; high principles of integrity , adherence to the REALTOR® Code of Ethics, and furtherance of the principles of good real estate practice among brokers, agents and the general public. 2. Local Association/Board Activity–Offices held and committee work, special assignments, seminar activity and educational work, member ship and offices held in local chapters of Institutes, Societies and Councils. 3. State and National Association Activity–offices held and committee work, attendance and participation in conventions, directors meetings and educational conferences. 4. Civic Affairs–Local, state and national level participation in civic and service clubs, charitable activities, political commissions, fraternal or religious groups. The Commercial Investment Division Board of Directors meets to review the nominations and select the winner. The nomination form used is in appendix I.
