We’ve made some changes to bring you a new and more flexible Optional & Guest Fun Buck Tour Program!

Changes include how we calculate each Fun Buck Tour cost, more special adventures just for you, and special pricing for children. Please take a few minutes to review the important details that follow.
 
JUST FOR REALTORS®
Our tours are exclusive to our REALTOR® family. What a great opportunity to meet REALTORS® from around the world!

Tours run Thursday through Tuesday, November 6th through the 11th. The tours have been developed for all ages and abilities to enjoy. Plus, once on the bus at the Convention Center, you’re on your way - no transferring to another bus at a bus depot.

OPTIONAL TOURS
may be purchased by anyone, you don’t need to be registered for the Conference. It's easy to buy tickets, just use the Optional Tour Order Form or order online.

GUEST FUN BUCK TOURS
is the program created as our spouse/family member program.

Each individual registered as a full-fee Guest (non-licensed spouse/family member) receives FOUR FUN BUCKS to spend on the tours of his/her choice on Thursday through Tuesday.Tours cost 1, 2 or 3 Fun Bucks with the pricing corresponding to the real dollar cost of each tour.Paying with Fun Bucks is easy - just use the Guest Fun Buck Tour Order Form or order online.

FUN BUCK & TOUR GUIDELINES

  • Fun Bucks are non-transferable; they can only be used for tours for the Guest registrant whose name appears on the Fun Buck.
  • Fun Bucks may be used to purchase no more than one ticket per tour or attraction.
  • Fun Bucks cannot be used as a partial payment for a more expensive tour.
  • All tour tickets will be mailed with your badge if ordered by October 7, 2008.
  • Any unused Fun Bucks will be mailed with your badge if not redeemed by October 7, 2008. You may use them on-site to buy tours.

We’ve reduced the cost of every tour by $3 for ordering in advance! To take advantage of this savings, just complete the enclosed “Optional Tours Order Form” and fax or mail it in. Or, purchase your tours online at www.realtor.org/conference. All orders received by October 7th, 2008 qualify.

WIN DINNER ON US!
Order your tour tickets (Optional and Guest Fun Buck Tours) by October 7th and you’re automatically entered into a drawing for a $100 dinner on us! We will draw 10 winners on October 15th. Each winner will receive a $100 American Express Gift Cheque to use at the restaurant of his/her choice. Winners will be notified via email.

DON'T BE A "NO SHOW"
If you purchase tours with Fun Bucks, please let us know if you won’t be using the ticket(s) that you ordered. The tours are popular and may sell out. Someone may be waiting for tickets. 

WEAR COMFY WALKING SHOES AND CLOTHING
Dress in layers as the weather can change as you move through various areas on the tours. Jeans are acceptable on all tours. Sunscreen & sunglasses are good to bring too.

The day starts at the Tosohatchee “Florida Trail” with an eco-guided tour into pristine wilderness to a historic, 100 year old outpost – a turn of the century fish camp. Next, experience the abundant wildlife along the American Heritage River in an airboat. MAGIC KINGDOM INNOVATIONS IN ACTION

Renowned for its innovative approach at bringing a little “magic” into our lives, now you can see how its done. Travel to a variety of backstage locations for a behind-the-scenes view of the Magic Kingdom. Tour highlights include: The Production Center which is responsible for creating the elements of the Disney parades and stage shows, the largest laundry facility in the world, the tunnel system under Cinderalla’s Castle and other stops. Come see what makes all the fun and excitement of the Walt Disney World Resort “work like magic!”

DOLPHIN & MANATEE ENCOUNTER

Experience unique Eco-systems and wildlife on the backwaters of the Banana River on this fascinating journey. The Banana River, part of The Indian River Lagoon system, contains over 5,000 species of plants and animals, a virtual nursery of wildlife, and its endangered. We’ll explore the smooth, inland waters around the wild and uninhabited, thousand islands, aboard a shallow draft pontoon boat. You may even see a Bottle Nose Dolphin and/or the endangered West Indian Manatees. We’ll stop at Banana Breeze Beach for a special boxed lunch. (included in the ticket price) Bring your camera for the wonderful photo opportunities.

Note: This tour is partially ADA accessible. Guests must be able to walk down a boat ramp to the dock and step into the pontoon boat from the dock. Neither wheelchairs nor motorized scooters can be taken onto the pontoon boats.



GUIDED KAYAK ADVENTURE

Just as the pre-Columbian Timucan Native Americans found the wilderness virtues, you will too. Certified guides lead the 2 person kayaks up the Indian River’s endangered estuary to it’s sheltered back water lagoon islands. A refuge for manatees, dolphins, water birds and an assortment of marsh animals. An easy paddle along the shore line of this protected, calm, inland water way to an uninhabited barrier island. We’ll stop for a nature walk, paddling rest, stretch before heading back. A picnic lunch and bottled water is included in the ticket price. You’re sure to enjoy this quiet tour of Florida’s natural wonders.

Special Note: Bring sunscreen, hat and a light jacket. Each guest must be able to paddle their own 2 person kayak.

KENNEDY SPACE CENTER

Follow in the footsteps of some of our nation’s greatest explorers at the Kennedy Space Center, where the dreams of America’s space pioneers take flight. First stop, the Apollo/Saturn V Center for a look at the 363-Ft. Saturn V moon rocket. Experience history in the Firing Room Theater as countdown reaches zero and the Apollo 8 leaves for the moon. Journey to the International Space Station Center to observe the actual processing bay as technicians prepare components for the Space Station. Stop by the Astronaut encounter to meet a real astronaut. Remember to make some time to view the IMAX film too or take a ride on the new Shuttle Launch Experience, a simulation of an actual space launch.

The Space Center offers many lunch locations throughout the complex. Lunch is not included in the ticket price.

KENNEDY SPACE CENTER

MOUNT DORA: HISTORY AND CHARM

Get away to yesteryear as you enter Mount Dora, a town that time seems to have forgotten. Tucked in rolling hills, the 19th century clapboard houses and ancient oak trees project a comforting sense of permanence and well-being; a night and day contrast with the world most of us live in! The history of this quaint town will unfold on a lovely old time trolley guided tour. Free time follows for you to enjoy lunch on your own and shopping in the downtown shops and boutiques.

ORLANDO CITY HIGHLIGHTS

Orlando, known as “The City Beautiful,” is where numerous brick paved streets are lined by moss-draped, cascading southern oaks. Today you’ll be shown the city’s past, present, and insights into the future. Your journey begins with a driving tour of original neighborhoods and surrounding lakes. Then, on to the Orange County Regional History Center for an interactive journey through Florida’s history. Finally, stroll along Lake Eola , a peaceful retreat where nature thrives in the middle of metropolitan Orlando. Don’t forget your camera!

ST. JOHN’S RIVER CRUISE

Enjoy the wildlife of the St. John’s River as you escape & relax on a 1940’s Great Lakes style steamer ship. Alligators sun themselves under giant cypress and graceful, moss-draped live oaks, egrets and heron fish for lunch. Lively entertainment greets you followed by your choice from five entrees at your reserved table. Lunch is included in the ticket price; a cash bar is available. After lunch, lean back in a comfortable deck chair and enjoy the scenery – this is river cruising at its best!

SCENIC WINTER PARK

Spend a peaceful day on scenic Park Avenue, First, a relaxing 45 minute open-air boat ride past luxurious homes along 3 beautiful lakes and canals. Next, browse the boutiques and art galleries filled with one-of-a-kind treasures and designer stores. Save time for the Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art featuring the largest collection of Louis C. Tiffany glass in the world. Enjoy lunch on you own.

Note: This tour is partially ADA accessible. Individuals must be able to walk down a boat ramp to the dock and step into a pontoon boat. Pontoon boats are not wheelchair and motorized scooter accessible.

Don’t have a full day to spend at a theme park? Want to have dinner at Epcot? Lunch with Shamu at noon? Jurassic Park at 2? You choose which park you want to visit and use our afternoon pass good for admission to one park of your choice after the designated time during each park’s published hours.

Special Note: Fun Bucks may be used to purchase one admission ticket per brand, per Guest registrant, just like the tours. For example, you may purchase one Disney, one Sea World and one Universal. You cannot purchase two Disney, or two Sea World or two Universal.

Transportation to/from any of the parks is not included. These tickets are just for admission.

SPECIAL HANDLING: These tickets cannot be mailed to you in advance. In October with your badge mailing, you will receive an Exchange Voucher for each attraction ticket you purchase using Fun Bucks. On-site, you will need to exchange this voucher at the “Attraction Tickets” counter located in NAR Registration during official hours Wednesday, November 5 through Monday, November 10.

TOUR ORDER INFORMATION
Optional and Guest Fun Buck Tours will be conducted by Convention Planning Services, Inc. (CPS), NAR’s official tour company selected for the 2008 Orlando Conference.

REMEMBER
To receive Fun Bucks, you must be a registered non-industry, non-licensed spouse or family member who has paid the full registration fee.

TICKETS
All tours are limited by space capacities so we strongly urge you to purchase tickets in advance. Advance orders are processed on a first come, first served basis and must be received by October 7, 2008. Tickets must be presented for admission to all tours.


Tickets purchased and Fun Bucks unredeemed by October 7
th will be mailed with your badge and other important Conference information.
