Explore San Diego’s natural beauty, magnificent bay, nearby communities and wine country while you are in this spectacularly beautiful city for the Conference.

This is the first time the Conference has been held in San Diego, and the Optional Tour and Guest Tour Programs are designed for you to experience this magnificent city from the Thursday before the Conference through the Tuesday after the Conference.

Your family and guests can have the fun and adventure of Guest Tours while you attend Conference sessions. Family and guests registered for the Full Conference will receive four Fun Bucks that they can use toward the purchase of tours. It’s a super value!

OPTIONAL TOURS

Our tour program runs Thursday through Tuesday, November 12th through the 17th. The tours have been developed for all ages to enjoy.

Anyone, whether registered or not, may purchase tickets for any of our tours.

Tickets are not required for children under 2 years of age who sit on a parent’s lap.

GUEST FUN BUCK TOURS
Our tour program was created as our spouse/family member program and is called our Guest Fun Buck Tour Program.

FOUR FUN BUCKS for GUEST REGISTRANTS
Each individual registered as a full-fee Guest (non-licensed spouse/family member) has FOUR FUN BUCKS to spend on the tours of his/her choice on Thursday through Tuesday. NEW PRICING: Tours cost 1, 2 or 3 Fun Bucks with the pricing corresponding to the real dollar cost of each tour.

TO USE FUN BUCKS
It’s easy; just use the “Guest Fun Buck Tour Order Form" or order online after August 3rd.

FUN BUCK GUIDELINES
Fun Bucks are non-transferable; they can only be used for tours for the Guest registrant whose name appears on the Fun Buck.

Fun Bucks may be used to purchase no more than one ticket per tour or attraction.

Fun Bucks cannot be used as a partial payment for a more expensive tour.

TOUR TICKETS WILL BE MAILED
For all tours ordered by October 15th, whether Optional or Guest Fun Buck Tours, tickets will be mailed to you in
October with your badge and other important materials.

FUN BUCKS WILL BE MAILED!
If Tours are ordered in advance using Fun Bucks, the actual tour tickets will be mailed to you in October with your badge. If you use some of your Fun Bucks, you will be mailed tickets for the tours you ordered plus any unredeemed Fun Bucks which you may still use on-site. If you don’t order tours in advance, you will be mailed all four Fun Bucks to use on-site.

This narrated driving tour will showcase many of San Diego’s fascinating neighborhoods. The tour includes the historical Gaslamp Quarter, Coronado Island, Seaport Village, Balboa Park and Old Town. Brief stops with time for a little exploration in Old Town and Balboa Park are included. You’re sure to enjoy “America’s Finest City!”

The history and excitement of early California will come alive as you explore Old Town. This historical landmark boasts the distinction of being the first settlement on the Western Coast of the United States. Enjoy free time to explore the many shops and eateries that are a sheer delight.

Enjoy a narrated driving tour of Old Town, Balboa Park, the Gaslamp Quarter, downtown and other areas of interest around San Diego. After seeing lovely San Diego by land, you’ll be welcomed aboard for a 60 minute harbor cruise on the calm waters of the bay. The narrated cruise includes points of interest like the Coronado Bay Bridge, the Navy shipyards and USS Midway aircraft carrier. Enjoy lunch on your own. You haven’t seen San Diego until you’ve seen it by land and by sea!

MARITIME MUSEUM AND USS MIDWAY

Embark on a docent led tour throughout maritime history. Explore one of the finest collections of historic ships in the world including the world’s oldest active ship, the Star of India, and a replica of a mid 18th century royal navy frigate used in the Russell Crowe academy award winning movie “Master and Commander.” Peruse permanent collections in five galleries representing major themes of maritime history and their relation to San Diego. Next, venture to the USS Midway home to more than 200,000 Americans over the course of 27 years. Don’t miss this wonderful maritime collection.

SAN DIEGO BAY DINNER CRUISE

What better way to enjoy a fall evening than out on the water, enjoying the sights and sounds of San Diego Bay! Explore the bay during the three-course dinner and then dance the night away with a DJ during this 2.5 hour harbor cruise.

Note: This vessel is partially ADA accessible. The main deck is accessible but there is no ADA access to the upper level or the restrooms.

Special Note: Transportation to/from the cruise is not included. This is about a 10-15 minute walk from most hotels or a short cab ride. The cruise departs from the Broadway Cruise Terminal at 1050 N. Harbor Drive at the corner of Broadway and Harbor Drive. You MUST exchange your exchange voucher at the Harbor Excursions ticket booth for a boarding pass prior to boarding.

Begun more than two decades ago as a breeding facility for the San Diego Zoo’s large animals, this 1,800 acre sanctuary is home to more than 4,000 rare and endangered animals. Unlike traditional zoos, at the Wild Animal Park, herds of mammals and flocks of birds co-habitate much the way they would in the wild. Stroll through the exhibits, ride the Africa Safari Style Railway, visit Nairobi Village, Lion Camp and so much more. Take a walk on the Wild side at the Wild Animal Park!

Transportation is not included in the ticket prices. You are on your own to get to the venues.

Voted “Best Way to See The City” the Old Town Trolley is much more than a means of transportation around town: it’s an educational and entertaining tour of America’s Finest City! There are 11 stops around the city, including Balboa Park for the museums and zoo, Old Town, Maritime Museum, USS Midway and Harbor cruises, PETCO Park, and Coronado Island, with more than 100 points of interest along the way. There is a stop at the Marriott Marina Hotel waterfall and another at the Hilton Bayfront Hotel, at either end of the Convention Center. Trolleys run about every 30 minutes. With the Trolley Pass, you can get off and on the Trolley as many times as you like all day long!

The World Famous San Diego Zoo has been the gem of San Diego for over 80 years. Today, the zoo has the largest collection of mammals. birds, and reptiles in North America. The creatures at the zoo are nurtured in enclosures that closely simulate their natural environments. Plus, it’s also a lush botanical garden that houses more than 6,500 plant species. Be sure to hop on the Express bus or Skyfari aerial tram for an overview of the spacious zoo and ride the guided bus tour to learn fascinating facts about the wildlife at the zoo. Be sure to spend extra time with your favorites!

Experience San Diego by land and by sea! These new “Hydra Terras” begin their 90 minute journey at the Seaport Village. Narrated land tour travels down to Shelter Island and then splashes into the bay for a narrated tour through the North end of San Diego Bay. Then back to Seaport Village. Make a splash on the SEALT!
