HISTORY OF THE COCKTAIL WALKING TOUR

This walking tour will take you through the French Quarter and introduce you to the legendary cocktails and famous watering holes New Orleans is known for.

While seeing many of the cities fine dining restaurants, you will learn about the Hurricane, Sazerac and Ramous Gin Fizz. Cocktail questions such as -- what is Absinthe and why was it outlawed in the United States and what is the Obituary Cocktail will be answered. You will see the city’s oldest wine cellar and hear about what locals did during Prohibition.

No drinks are served, but you will get a sampling of several of these New Orleans-owned concoctions.
