REALTORS® - Conference and Expo November 7-10
Explore New Orleans

The French Quarter is home to some of the most famous restaurants in New Orleans. The culinary experience of New Orleans cannot be duplicated anywhere in the country. On this tour, you will discover the differences between Creole and Cajun cuisine while learning about New Orleans’ rich culinary heritage.

The tour will take you through the French Quarter as you learn about New Orleans’ historic restaurants and watering holes. Your tour guide will point out culinary landmarks such as Brennan’s, Galatoire’s, Napoleon House, and the Old Absinthe House.

You will hear about traditional cooking techniques and find out why food and drink is so celebrated in Louisiana and New Orleans. You will tour the interior of Antoine’s, the oldest family-run restaurant in the United States, and try their famous souffléed potatoes. Your tour will conclude with a trip to Creole Delicacies, where their chef will offer tastings of pralines and red beans and rice, in addition to a demonstration on how to prepare the perfect roux.

  • Each site is ADA accessible, but the sidewalks in the French Quarter can be uneven and troublesome. They rarely feature ramps in lieu of curbs which may cause problems for individuals in wheelchairs. Contact Ashley Stagg, NOCCI, New Orleans Convention Company, at 504-293-2656 to discuss your needs.
