Airport Transportation
BART
Go Green by taking BART from either San Francisco International Airport or Oakland International Airport, BART costs less than taxis and shuttles and is just as fast.
BART SFO to San Francisco Advance Purchase Tickets
We recommend you get tickets early from this site to avoid long lines at the SFO ticket machines. You can purchase a round-trip SFO transfer voucher for $18.50 that includes one additional ride or the Xtraride $25.00 roundtrip transfer that includes several BART rides. Choose your ticket, buy it, print the voucher and exchange it for your ticket before entering the SFO station. The BART voucher desk is conveniently located just outside the SFO station entrance. BART from OAK
Go to the AirBART shuttle stop on the traffic island outside the terminal and take the AirBART bus. Deposit $3.00 in the AirBART fare box when you board. Then purchase a round-trip ticket at the Coliseum station for $7.70. Enter the fare gates and up the escalator and take any San Francisco bound train. It usually takes 45 minutes to take the AirBART shuttle and BART to San Francisco. Exit at the station that’s closest to your hotel.

Taxis
Taxi service is available from San Francisco International Airport to downtown. Approximate fare to a downtown destination is $40-$50. Taxis may add a $2.00 pass-through fee to all airport fares leaving SFO. Voluntary ride sharing for two or more persons with a maximum of three destinations is permitted.

SuperShuttle
SuperShuttle is available from both San Francisco International Airport and Oakland International Airport to the convention center area.

San Francisco Transportation
Cable Cars
Cable cars operate along three routes:
- Powell-Hyde line which begins at Powell and Market Streets and terminates at Victorian Park near the Maritime Museum and Aquatic Park
- Powell-Mason line which also begins at Powell and Market but terminates at Bay Street just three blocks from Fisherman's Wharf
- California Street line which runs from the foot of Market Street to Van Ness Avenue

San Francisco Municipal Railway
San Francisco has one of the highest per capita transit riderships in the US. It's no wonder the Muni is a bargain. The fare is approximately $2.00. Access route information here.
Muni Metro or Light Rail Vehicles
Muni operates underground downtown and on the streets in the outer neighborhoods. Six lines are involved: J (Church), K (Ingleside), L (Taraval), M (Ocean), N (Judah), T (Third Street). Historic streetcars (F-line) operate along Market Street beginning in the Castro District and terminating at Fisherman's Wharf. Click here for more information.
