The University of Chicago Strategies in Nonprofit Management Certificate Program: Politics and Beyond: Advocacy for REALTORŪ Associations Advance Enrollment Required

Location: Hilton Washington, Monroe Room East
This interactive course will teach participants how to work within the parameters of non-profit lobbying laws and secure strong legislation that meets their organizations' missions at the local, state, and federal levels. Participants will leave with the basics of an advocacy action plan for their association. This plan includes effective advocacy strategies as well as creative ways to overcome implementation barriers to those strategies. This course is one of two optional courses required to complete the certificate program.
Course fee: $350 for certificate program enrollees, or $250 for non-certificate enrollees. Lunch is included. Registration will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Written cancellation requests must be received no later than April 16, 2008. A $25 administration fee will be deducted from the refund.
