Residential Economic Issues & Trends Forum
05/16/2013 | 08:00 AM - 10:00 AM
Location: Marriott Wardman Park Hotel, Marriott Ballroom Salon 2
The housing market recovery is well established with strong sales in nearly every region of the country and low inventories driving steady price growth. While the housing recovery is leading an economic recovery, does it have legs to survive the government’s budget sequestration and major regulatory changes to mortgage finance? NAR’s Chief Economist will discuss prospects for the economy in the second half of 2013. He will be joined by the Vice President and Senior Regional Officer at the Federal Reserve Board of Cleveland who is expected to discuss changes intended to revive the private sector’s role in mortgage finance and how these changes may impact the real estate industry.
