Creating an Issues Campaign focusing on:
Light Rail Development, Tax on Services, and Funding for Schools

REALTOR® Associations planned, developed, and implemented issue campaigns to protect and promote REALTOR® interests in their state or community. The following three examples will be presented and discussed:

-Hampton Roads REALTORS® Association: Campaign to support a referendum for building light rail transit in Virginia Beach.
-Minnesota Association of REALTORS®: Campaign to defeat the Governor's proposal on a sales tax on (real estate) services.
-Orlando Regional REALTOR® Association: Campaign to support a property tax increase to fund public schools and educate REALTORS® on the issue.
