The Internet enables AEs at even the smallest associations to keep in touch with members and follow trends, but there’s no substitution for the excitement and intensity
of a live event. Here are some not-to-be-missed events for you and your staff next year.

Jan. 8–9 Realtors® Political Action Committee (RPAC) Fundraising Conference, Washington, D.C. A training conference on RPAC fund-raising open to Realtor® volunteers, AEs, and GADs.

Feb. 1–2 Realtor® Association Education Directors Summit, Wichita, Kan. A new event for real estate educators on building education programs. Karen Becker, 316/263-3167.

Feb. 17–21 2007 AE Institute, San Diego. The premier professional development opportunity for Realtor® association executives and their staff.

March 28–30 MLS Connection 2007, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. A gathering of large regional MLSs open to all AEs and MLS executives, MLS staff, volunteer leadership, and leading brokerage firms and their technical staff and attorneys. http://www.connection2007.com

May 14–19 NAR Midyear Legislative Meetings and Trade Expo, Washington, D.C. Nearly 10,000 real estate professionals convene to address legislative and political issues facing the real estate industry and to conduct NAR’s first governance meetings of the year.

June 10–13 Real Estate Educators Association Annual Conference, St. Louis, Mo. Annual gathering of real estate educators to refresh their skills and network. http://www.reea.org

July 25–28 Government Affairs Directors (GAD) Institute, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. Three days of programming designed for government affairs directors and AEs responsible for leading their association’s public policy and government affairs. REALTOR.org, search: “GAD Institute”

Nov. 11–16 Realtors® Conference & Expo and Annual Governance Meetings, Las Vegas. NAR’s largest annual event and 100th anniversary celebration.
