Getting Started

Set Up Your Profile

As an International REALTOR®, you can change your own information in the membership database at the REALTOR.org site. To register on the website:

1. Click on the "Login/My Account" link at the top of the page. When the "Sign In" (authentication) screen appears, click the link on the right that says "Click here to register."
2. Click on "I am: REALTOR®, REALTOR® Associate, Institute Affiliate, CIPS Network member, or Association Staff," then click the "Proceed with registration" button.
3. Enter the NRDS ID number that was provided to you on the NAR membership card you received via email and/or mail and enter four zeroes in the SSN field.
4. Enter your NRDS membership number and your last name. Then choose "Click here to continue with registration."

IMPORTANT: Please keep record of the username and password you create during this process. NAR does not keep a record of this and will not be able to retrieve passwords if they are lost.

Customize my.REALTOR.org
When you have created your profile, you will then want to customize the web site so you can control what content and information you want to see. To modify your homepage with the topics that you find the most valuable:

1. Sign in using your existing REALTOR.org ID.
2. Find the link that says “Get Started Customizing REALTOR.org” above the colorful blocks of content.
3. Select which categories you’d like to see, and save your selections.  As an International REALTOR® member, it is important that you select “Global” as one of your preferred categories.

Sign Up for NAR News
You have access to NAR e-mail news subscriptions. When you set up your profile (above), choose "View/update your email address and subscriptions."

You can update your email address and select the type of information you would like to receive in your newsletter. Click "Global" to receive news from NAR Global.

Join the Conversation with NAR Social Media

Engaging in open dialogue with your p​eers through social media outlets is perhaps the easiest and most cost-efficient way to connect with your peers and be viewed as an expert in your market. NAR Global offers groups on LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook to help facilitate this dialogue. You can also join various other NAR groups, which can be found by scrolling to the bottom of the REALTOR.org home page.

Referrals
As an International REALTOR® member, your name and contact information is entered into the Find a REALTOR® database — at no cost. Inclusion in this global database allows consumers and professionals around the world to find you at REALTOR.org.

Take advantage of NAR's many networking opportunities to grow your referral network. In addition to the many social media networks and platforms mentioned above, NAR offers its members opportunities to meet in person as well.
