Purpose

The purpose of the Public Advocacy Advisory Group (PAAG) is to provide recommendations to the NAR Leadership Team about these elements:

- Review and strategize federal public policy priorities and corresponding resource allocation. 

- Identify targeted members of Congress, strategy, message expenditures and timeline for each public issue advocacy campaign.

Composition

Core Group: Vice Presidents, one serving as Chair; NAR Immediate Past President; RPAC Chair and Vice Chair; Public Policy Coordinating Committee Chair and Vice Chair; REALTORS® Party Member Involvement Committee Chair and Vice Chair; one state Association Executive; NAR Treasurer and the incoming Vice Presidents as an ex-officio members.

Extended Group: Business Issues Policy Committee Chair and Vice Chair; Conventional Financing & Policy Committee Chair and Vice Chair; Federal Financing & Housing Policy Committee Chair and Vice Chair; Federal Taxation Committee Chair and Vice Chair; Land Use Property Rights and Environment Committee Chair and Vice Chair; Commercial Legislative and Regulatory Advisory Board Chair and Vice Chair.

Terms of service

One-year term by virtue of position.

Qualification(s) for consideration

Political and/or RPAC volunteer experience and public policy volunteer experience at the national, state, local levels.
