Purpose

To monitor, review, analyze and recommend policies on issues and trends affecting resort and vacation markets; to sponsor education and networking opportunities at the national meetings which attract the participation of members engaged in buying, selling, managing and investing in land, second homes and luxury properties in resort and vacation markets; and to recommend services that enable Resort Specialists to be more successful in their unique business niche.

Composition

38 members as follows: Chair, Vice Chair, Immediate Past Chair; the Meetings and Conference resort business specialty/topic expert; one association executive; one affiliate representative from CCIM, CRE, RLI and IREM and 28 members-at-large representing all resort specialty aspects of the business (such as buying, selling, property management, investment and development) in all regions of the country.

Terms of service

One-year term.

Qualification(s) for consideration

• 3-5 years business experience in resort and second home markets.
• Knowledge of legislative and regulatory issues affecting the resort/second home/vacation markets.
• Knowledge of marketing.
