This section of the Foreclosure Prevention and Response Toolkit is devoted to activities and resources for local and state REALTOR® associations to help them design and fund a local foreclosure response program. Some are free resources and others could be financed with the help FPR Program grants--and some include a special discount for REALTORS®.

Action Plan Consultants
As part of their foreclosure prevention and response plan, state and local associations may choose to engage consultants to help in this process. NAR is also prepared to recommend consultants. Regardless of the consultants retained, these services are eligible for funding under the Foreclosure Prevention and Response Program. Communications Counsel
State and local associations may use grant funds to retain a consultant to help craft a communications plan. Communications counsel services might include training in:
- arranging speaking engagements;
- coordinating news conferences;
- creating PR relationships with local government agencies and other organizations;
- placing op-ed columns;
- interview training, and other kinds of media outreach.
Grant funds allotted through the Foreclosure Prevention and Response Program may be used to engage the services of any communications counsel.
