This section of the Foreclosure Prevention and Response Toolkit is devoted to activities and resources local and state associations can offer to their members as part of a local foreclosure response program. Some are free resources and others could be financed with the help FPR Program grants—and some include a special discount for REALTORS®.

WHAT'S NEW
Scammers are targeting people having trouble paying their mortgages. These so-called foreclosure rescue companies promise to stop foreclosure. But they are out to make a quick buck, and can turn a homeowner's distress into disaster.
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has produced a video entitled "Real People Real Stories" that features the stories of real people taking action to save their homes. Through this video, homeowners can learn the signs of a foreclosure rescue scam and where to go to get free help. Visit http://ftc.gov/yourhome to view the video and learn amore information.
