Become a Certified Home From Work™ Instructor

The National Association of Realtors® is seeking qualified individuals to become authorized instructors for Home From Work™.

Program Requirements: Each Realtor® must submit an application, references and meet the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of two years experience as a real estate professional, particularly in listing and sales. (Compelling equivalent background experience may be substituted.)
  • Experience with training real estate professionals (indicate subjects and number of contact hours).
  • Experience with workforce/affordable housing or employer-assisted housing.

Training Class: The class is a full day training taught by NAR’s master trainer. Completion of the Home From Work™ is a prerequisite to taking the Train The Trainer course.

Application process: The application process is competitive and individuals who complete an application are not guaranteed a spot in the class. Classes are limited to 14 individuals.

How to Apply: To become an authorized Home from Work™ trainer, complete the Home from Work™ trainer application (MS Word: 95KB) and reference form (MS Word: 83KB). Submit the forms by fax, e-mail, or postal mail to the address below.

Benefits: As an authorized instructor you will be listed on Realtor.org. and will be approved to train Realtors® around the country in this program. You will be eligible receive compensation for training you provide by the sponsoring organization.

  • Mid-Year Conference, Washington, DC: May, 2009 Application due: March 31, 2009
  • Annual Conference, San Diego, CA: November, 2009 Application due: September 30, 2009
