Housing Opportunity Program
Sponsor a Home From Work Class
Any REALTOR®, REALTOR® association, certified trainer, broker, or affiliate member can sponsor NAR's Home From Work class to give REALTORS® the information and training they need to promote housing opportunities through employer-assisted housing (EAH) programs.
Sponsors must sign and submit NAR's sponsorship agreement (PDF: 41KB) to indicate compliance with the program requirements. In addition, the Home From Work class must be taught by a certified instructor. NAR's Housing Opportunity program provides all course materials.
How Do I Sponsor a Home From Work Class?
- Check our list of certified trainers to locate an instructor for the class
- Set a date for the class
- Publicize the class to REALTORS® in your area. If you wish, use these handouts:
- Customizable Home From Work fact sheet (MS Word: 6KB)
- Frequently asked questions (PDF: 49KB)
- List of sample EAH programs (PDF: 39KB)
- Fill out a sponsorship agreement (PDF: 41KB) and submit it to NAR.
- Submit a sponsorship form (PDF: 25KB) to NAR so we can provide course materials.
What Does the Class Cost?
The cost of the class is based on the number of attendees. Costs range from $250 for 50 attendees to $1,000 for 125 participants.
What is Provided?
Class sponsors will receive these materials:
- Training manual, CD-ROM, and DVD
- EAH Toolkit and CD-ROM
- Home from Work lapel pin for each participant
- Cushy Home From Work houses
On the day of the class, make sure these items are available for the instructor and attendees. In addition, provide a course evaluation form (PDF: 62KB) for each attendee to complete and return to the instructor.
