2011 Regional Workforce Housing Forums

The National Association of Realtors® and the National Housing Conference will partner on a new series of Bring Workers Home regional policy forums addressing workforce housing.

The dates and locations for the 2011 forums are:

The forums attract a wide range of attendees including employers and HR professionals, REALTORS®, city planners, housing and community development leaders, local elected and appointed officials, state HFA representatives, and others. Each forum will focus on the nature of the workforce housing challenge in each region and highlight regional best practices in addressing that challenge.

For state and local associations, the forums provide an opportunity for increased exposure and positive publicity. These events also provide state and locals with a guideline of how they can bring stakeholders together to focus on this issue in their own area.

For individual members, these events provide practical examples and business models, as well as contacts, to help them build new business opportunities in the workforce housing arena.

The regional forums give NAR the opportunity to expand the reach of our programs and initiatives, and raise NAR's visibility as a housing leader through the networks of our partners and sponsors.

Overall, the regional forums raise the visibility of REALTORS® as leaders on this critical housing issue, and they create a way for REALTORS® to connect with others in the industry that share our commitment to workforce housing.
