Issues Mobilization / Public Advocacy Program
Issues Mobilization Program
NAR's Issues Mobilization program was created to support state and local REALTOR® associations through education, technical assistance and/or financial support, and to enable them to organize and manage effective issue campaigns to promote REALTOR® policy. A principal objective of the program is to provide requesting state and local REALTOR® associations financial assistance to facilitate effective issue campaigns benefiting and promoting REALTOR® public policy.

Public Advocacy Program
The NAR Public Advocacy program is designed to influence voter perceptions on clearly identified federal issues and candidates by employing a variety of communication tactics. The program is intended to affect the legislative outcome of an issue in Congress and/or election results of targeted federal candidates without expressly advocating the support or opposition of that candidate. In this dual role, the Public Advocacy Program is both issue and politically oriented. The program was significantly enhanced in 2002 in order to provide ongoing issue education to the Congress about NAR’s priority issues that are critical to achieving legislative success, and to position NAR as proactive on these issues.
