REALTOR® TV: Frequently Asked Questions & Help

Frequently Asked Questions

What is this?
REALTOR® TV is an exciting initiative developed by NAR’s REALTOR® magazine and REALTOR.org staff. It allows members and site visitors quick access all of NAR’s current videos in one prominent place on REALTOR.org. It also provides a channel through which members can easily submit their own videos for publication on the site - free. By accepting member-generated videos, REALTOR® TV will provide members a way to connect with one another and with NAR in a new way, promote their community service efforts, and share important business tools and tips for our REALTOR® members.

How can I access videos on REALTOR.org?
Visit REALTOR® TV to access REALTOR.org's videos any time, day or night. Both NAR-created and member-generated videos are organized into nine categories for quick browsing in the video player.

How can I submit a video to REALTOR.org?
Submitting a video to REALTOR® TV is easy! NAR members can use a simple, online form to submit their videos for consideration. For specific instructions, please see the Send Us Your Videos page.

What file formats can be uploaded?

.3GP
.AVI
.DV

.FLV

What is the maximum file size or video length that can be uploaded?
The maximum file size for upload is 100 MB, which for many of the formats above is usually two to three minutes in length.

How can I improve the quality of my video?
Brightcove uses best-of-breed technology to convert your video into Flash video (if you haven't already converted it to Flash), a popular format that works well on the Web and across the Brightcove service. Try to start with high-quality video that is bright or well lit, and has not already been compressed heavily for use on a low quality platform such as a mobile phone.

What platforms and operating systems can I upload from?
Windows: WinXP, WinXP SP2, Win2000
Mac: MacOSx 10.2 and later

Windows browsers: IE 6, IE 7, Firefox 1.5, Firefox 2.0
Mac browsers: Safari, IE, Firefox
