Home Giveaway Program
On June 29, 2005, the Charlotte Regional REALTOR® Association's Housing Opportunity Foundation gave away its third home to a Charlotte School Teacher!
Housing Opportunity Foundation
|Vision: To affect a better quality of life in the region. |
Mission: To provide support and funding on a charitable and educational basis for housing opportunities for all.
Goals: To give away at least one house every year; to have a least $1 million in the Foundation's endowed fund by 2013; to establish funding sources that will contribute to the endowment and housing needs in the community.
About the Home Giveaway Program:

Qualified program participants are required to complete a home-ownership course offered by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Housing Partnership (CMHP). During the homeownership course, participants learn how to secure financing for a home loan, what occurs during the closing and loan process, how a Realtor® can assist them and what to expect after the closing.
Participants who successfully complete the program and have not purchased a home by June become eligible to win a home purchased by the Housing Opportunity Foundation.
