Operation Home Delivery Program Summary Each of the REALTOR® associations in the 50 states and 4 territories will be challenged to raise $75,000 to sponsor a Habitat for Humanity, Inc. house in the Gulf Region. Go to Fundraising Tools. The REALTOR® Relief Foundation(RRF) will contribute the first $5,000 towards each home. The homes will be distributed throughout the areas affected by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita State associations are encouraged to work as teams with other states in their region that may not be able to raise the required funding or have enough man power to volunteer on the home builds. All states will partner within their regions to build “Homes in a Box” States will also team up in their regions to help smaller states or territories raise dollars until each region has raised $70,000 times the number of states in their region (Example: Region 3 has 5 states. 5 times $70,000 = $350,000). Through this overall initiative, $3.78 million will be raised from states and territories. Process All states will begin to raise $70,000 to participate in the Operation Home Delivery Program. Check out the list of state associations that have pledged and/or sent in their funds. Checks will be sent to the REALTOR Relief Fund at the end of each month, using the attached form. 26 homes will be framed (2 per NAR region) within the continental US in 2006, through the “Home in a Box” program (HIAB). The Regional Vice Presidents (RVPs) will coordinate with the state associations to determine the location of the two builds in that region. RVPs will notify NAR staff which two locations in their region will conduct the in-state home builds by submitting the attached form.
