Two Bilateral Partners Approved
In May, the NAR Executive Committee approved agreements with NAR’s two new bilateral partners.
Approval of the first agreement, between NAR and Argentina’s Camara Argentina de la Propiedad Horizontal y Actividades Inmobiliarias (CAP-H), was witnessed by official CAP-H representatives, President Nestor Piorsanto and Advisory Board member Ismael Baigun. The Buenos Aires-based CAP-H, established in 1951, was founded for the purpose of defending private prop-erty rights and real estate interests, including those involved in agency, finance, construction, and property management. Membership is comprised of property managers (50%) and sales agents (50%). This well-established group has more than 1,350 corporate members to whom it offers education, legal assistance, and annual conferences. The phrase “Horizontal Properties” in the association’s name refers to high-rise buildings, reflecting the predominance of real properties represented by association members.
Jorge Cantero, CIPS is the NAR President’s Liaison to Argentina. The REALTORS® Association of the Palm Beaches is its Ambassador Association.
The Executive Committee also approved an agreement with the Costa Rica Chamber of Commerce, based in San Jose, Costa Rica. A formal signing ceremony will take place in November in conjunction with NAR’s Annual Conference & Expo. Recommendations for the appointments of a President’s Liaison and Ambassador Association for the Costa Rican organization are currently being reviewed, based on association needs and interests.
