From the NAR Archives: 1993 President Bill Chee's "Lions Over the Hill" speech

In 1993, the real estate community was stirred to action by a speech given by NAR President Bill Chee, who referred to non-industry competitors as "hungry lions coming over the hill." The speech foretold the impacts of technology and the widespread changes that would soon change the real estate industry forever. Since then, the "lions over the hill" speech has become one of the most famous speeches in NAR's history.

The NAR Archives presents this original recording of president Bill Chee addressing the Board of Directors at the association's Midyear Meetings in Washington, DC, on April 26, 1993.
