REALTORS® Conference in New Orleans

CHICAGO, October 30, 2006 –REALTORS® from across the country will score big at their industry conference, where they’ll get to meet soccer superstar Mia Hamm. Mia will appear on Sunday, November 12, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM to sign autographs and meet attendees at the NAR Booth (#947) at the annual National Association of Realtors® (NAR) Conference & Expo in New Orleans, La.
Mia’s exclusive appearance complements the entire conference program, which features former presidents George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton and entertainer Harry Connick, Jr., as well as an Expo with over 600 exhibitors and 200+ real estate education sessions.
Mia is widely recognized as the world's best all-around women's soccer player. She has set new records in appearances and goals, and her MVP awards and overall performance put her at the top of the sport.
At the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games in Atlanta, Ga., she led the U.S. women’s soccer team to a gold medal in front of 80,000 cheering fans. She again led her U.S. team to victory in the 1999 Women's World Cup, which drew 40 million viewers in this country alone and sold over 650,000 tickets, including sellouts at Giants Stadium and the Rose Bowl.
Mia’s athletic awards and accomplishments are only one part of her success: she gives much of her precious free time to charitable causes and continually strives to promote women's athletics, the sport of soccer, and a feeling of confidence and sense of purpose in young people.
