SENTRILOCK AWARDED U.S. PATENT FOR
ELECTRONIC LOCKBOX TECHNOLOGY
CHICAGO (February 21, 2006) – SentriLock, LLC, the manufacturer of REALTOR® Lockboxes, has received a U.S. patent for its unique electronic lockbox technology. The new patent ensures that SentriLock’s lockbox technology investment is secure for a period of 20 years.
SentriLock presently has six other patents pending on its lockbox technologies. As SentriLock continues to invest in research and development driven by input from REALTORS®, the innovative and essential features created through these efforts will be protected.
“SentriLock is your lockbox company. There are exciting innovations underway that NAR members have asked for and those innovations will be protected,” said Scott Fisher, president, SentriLock LLC. “These patents will help ensure that REALTORS® always have the latest technology at the best price,” added Fisher.

SentriLock, LLC, which is majority owned by the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®, was founded in August of 2003. “After a successful beta test in early 2004, SentriLock's first lockbox installation was on June 14th, 2004. Currently, SentriLock has approximately 140,000 lockboxes in use by 50,000 agents in more than 80 different Associations around the country.” said Bob Goldberg, NAR senior vice president of Marketing and Business Development and head of the REALTOR
