Updated for the third training cycle. NAR developed a copyrighted program that may be used to fulfill existing members’ Code of Ethics training requirements. It has everything needed to conduct a classroom course locally:

  3. PowerPoint presentation
  4. final exam with answer key
  5. certificates of completion

On-line REALTORSŪ Code of Ethics Training Course: This is an NAR developed online course for completion using a computer and the Internet. REALTORSŪ can stop and restart the course at their convenience within a 30-day time period. Successful completion is recorded in the National REALTORSŪ Database System (NRDS) and satisfies a member’s Code of Ethics training requirements.

Code of Ethics Training and REALTOR Emeritus members
The National Association of REALTORSŪ's Board of Directors approved the following motion May 15, 2004.

    That the REALTORSŪ Code of Ethics Training (formerly "Quadrennial Ethics Training") requirement be waived for all REALTORSŪ Emeritus members.

CCIM Institute on-line ethics course

The following motion was approved by the NAR Board of Directors at the 2008 Annual Convention and Expo.
    That any REALTORŪ successfully completing the CCIM Institute’s mandatory on-line ethics training program be deemed to have satisfied NAR’s quadrennial Code of Ethics training obligation.
