The PikeNet Dispatch comments on commercial real estate technology, marketing and business trends. Peter is often featured as a speaker at conferences and seminars, including presentations to companies such as Colliers, CRESA, GE Real Estate, NAI, ONCOR, Staubach, TCN Worldwide and trade associations including AIRE, BOMA, CBA, CCIM, CREW Network, IREM, ICSC, NACORE, NAIOP, NCREIF and NHMC. He is responsible for managing the company’s Minnesota operations, which are staffed by over 270 real estate professionals. He coordinates all the activities for two offices—Bloomington and Downtown Minneapolis—including overseeing new business development, client relations, and related services. He has 27 years of real estate experience with CB Richard Ellis. For the previous 15 years, Whit was responsible for office and retail leasing and sales in the Twin Cities metropolitan area. This included an excess of 5 million square feet of space leased or sold. Whit attended the University of Minnesota from 1970 to 1974. Lereah is the chief economist of the National Association of REALTORS®. He serves as the association's spokesman on economic forecasts and interest rates as well as other economic and policy issues and trends affecting the real estate industry in the U.S. and abroad. Prior to joining NAR, he was chief economist for the Mortgage Bankers Association of America. David also served as the chief economist of Sovran Bank (predecessor of NationsBank and BankAmerica) in Richmond, Va and spent several years as a bank regulator and a financial economist for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. His economic and real estate market commentary is regularly quoted in major news media including the Wall St. Journal, New York Times, Business Week, USA Today, CNN Business News, CNBC, CBS Evening News and C-SPAN. He has written numerous articles on finance, investments and real estate, and his book, Are You Missing the Real Estate Boom, was released by Doubleday, Random House in February 2005.
