· What is the 2012 REALTORŪ Party Policy and Advocacy Conference?
The 2012 REALTORŪ Party Policy and Advocacy Conference brings together NAR’s officers and policy and political governance leaders to discuss critical federal policy issues affecting the real estate industry, communicate their importance to NAR’s advocacy agenda, and align NAR’s political and advocacy programs and resources towards advancement of the policy priorities. This year marks a new format and program for the Conference to complement the My Realtor Party political objectives of the Association.

· What are the dates of the Conference and when should I plan to arrive/depart?
The Conference is scheduled for January 25th through January 27th. You should plan to arrive by 4:00pm (EST) on Wednesday, January 25th and depart following the Conference’s adjournment at 12noon (EST) on Friday, January 27th. If you are a member of the PAAG (Public Advocacy Advisory Group) you should plan to leave at the conclusion of the meeting scheduled for Friday, January 27th that is scheduled to conclude at 3pm.

· Where is the Conference being held?
The conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency on Capitol Hill hotel located at 400 New Jersey Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20001. http://washingtonregency.hyatt.com/hyatt/hotels/index.jsp?null
The hotel is located only steps away from the NAR building.

PLEASE DO NOT call the hotel directly to make your own reservation. You should reserve your room through the registration website starting on December 1, 2011.

· Which airport is most conveniently located to the Hyatt Regency on Capitol Hill Hotel and do I book my own airfare?
The closest airport is Ronald Reagan National airport (DCA.) Taxi fare from DCA to the hotel is approximately $14 - $18 (10-20 min.)
We encourage you to book your airfare though NAR’s official travel agency Orbitz for Business (OFB) at www.orbitzforbusiness.net. Airfare must be booked through OFB in order to advance bill to NAR.

· What is the cost to attend the Conference?
There is no registration fee associated with attending the Conference. NAR will cover airfare, hotel room & tax and ground transportation for invited attendees. Any incidental expenses are the responsibility of the Conference participant.

· How do I register for the Conference?
The conference registration website is live on Thursday, December 1, 2011 at 12noon CST and it will be accessible on REALTOR.org. Please be sure to register for housing BEFORE January 4, 2012. Click here to register.

· If I am unable to attend, may I designate a replacement?
No, unless you are a State GAD. The decision as to whether the GAD, the State Executive Officer or the State Association’s President attends, as a paid NAR attendee, is at the discretion of the State Executive Officer.

· If I am unable to attend, how can I participate?
Those not attending will have the benefit of watching the conference live in its entirety via video conference through REALTOR.org

· What is the program schedule?
A detailed agenda will be made available and posted early January on REALTOR.org. The tentative program is as follows:

1:00pm – 5:00pm Arrival & Registration
5:00pm – 8:00pm Reception & Dinner Buffet

Thursday, January 26
7:30am – 4:00pm Full-Day Program (including Breakfast and Luncheon)
5:00pm – 8:00pm Reception & Dinner

Friday, January 27
8:00am – 12:00pm Half-Day Program (including Breakfast)
12:00pm Conference Adjournment
