Surround Sound Campaign
The NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® Surround Sound Campaign ended on July 31, 2011, after a successful 3 ½-year tenure. The focus of the program was to help state and local REALTOR® associations tell buyers and sellers about the opportunities in a challenging housing market. The program was designed to help REALTORS® generate authentic optimism with consumers.
While Surround Sound Training is no longer available, we hope you will download and use the training materials to take the program forward on your own—or at least parts of it.
The heart of the Surround Sound Training Classes was the messaging centered on communicating the facts about the marketplace and the opportunities for buyers and sellers. Download these talking points that were updated in late June of 2011. Use them all or in part to develop talking points that work for your particular market: Messaging and Talking Points (PDF: 2.8 MB; updated 06/24/11).
The Surround Sound Message House is a simple way of charting the three main points about today's marketplace—there are opportunities for buyers and sellers; home ownership is more than a financial investment; and it's important to work with a REALTOR®. Use the Message House as a base for building a Message House of your own that fits your market: NAR Message House (PDF: 230 KB; updated 11/08/10).
